Thousands gather for Lord Jagannath's reappearance before Rath Yatra
Huge crowds turned up at Puri's Jagannath Temple on Thursday for the much-awaited "Nabajouban Darshan."
After 15 days in seclusion following their annual bath, Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra made a special reappearance dressed in youthful attire.
This marks the "Netra Ustav," a big moment on the temple calendar, with devotees getting a rare chance to see the deities up close.
Over 10,000 personnel on duty
"Nabajouban Darshan" only happens once a year, so it's a pretty big deal for devotees. The temple made sure everything ran smoothly for the huge turnout.
With Rath Yatra coming up soon, security is tight—over 10,000 personnel are on duty and more than 275 AI cameras are watching over things.
Even the Coast Guard and Navy are helping out to keep everyone safe during these major festivities.
