Traffic advisory: Rajpur Road shut for sewer work until March 25
If you're driving around North Delhi, brace for some traffic headaches until March 25.
The Delhi Jal Board is digging up Rajpur Road to lay a new sewer line, which means the stretch from Rajpur Authority Cut to MCD Chowk will be closed, so expect detours and slower commutes.
Which roads are closed?
Rajpur Road (between Rajpur Authority Cut and MCD Chowk) is shut for all vehicles.
Other busy roads like Mall Road, Mahatma Gandhi Marg, Chauburja Marg, Bhiku Ram Jain Marg, Shamnath Marg, and Lok Niwas Marg are also affected.
There's still one open lane from MCD Chowk back toward Civil Lines police station if you need it.
What are the alternative routes?
To dodge the worst jams, traffic cops suggest taking Upper Authority Cut-Under Hill Road-Shamnath Marg-Raj Niwas Road-MCD Chowk (but no commercial vehicles on Raj Niwas), or try Boulevard Road-Yudhister Setu instead.
