UK toddler seriously injured after mistaking drain cleaner for milk

India

A 13-month-old boy from Birmingham, Sam Anwar Alshameri, is recovering from life-changing injuries after accidentally drinking drain cleaner he thought was milk.
The corrosive liquid caused severe burns inside his mouth and airway, leaving him unable to speak and needing a feeding tube.
He even went into cardiac arrest at the hospital but was revived after three minutes.

Family turns to crowdfunding for urgent treatment

Sam's dad, Nadeen Alshameri, has started a GoFundMe to help pay for medical care abroad since they're struggling financially.
He's hoping for support so Sam can get the surgery he needs, sharing how tough it's been watching his son go through this and how urgent their situation is.
