Unprecedented scoring: Bihar university's marking fiasco
Bhim Rao Ambedkar University (BRAU) in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, accidentally gave some postgrad students wildly incorrect marks—like 257 out of 100 in theory and 225 out of 30 in practicals.
The university says it was a technical or human error.
TL;DR
Some students were marked as 'failed'
Because of the mistake, some students had their mark sheets withheld or were wrongly marked as failed, even if they'd actually passed.
This isn't the first time BRAU's result process has run into trouble, raising questions about how results are handled.
University promises to fix errors within 2 working days
BRAU's exam controller admitted the errors and promised that all mistakes will be fixed within two working days.
Revised mark sheets should be out soon to set things right for everyone affected.
