UP woman killed by family for speaking up against rapist

In Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, a 20-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her own mother and brother after she accused their neighbor of rape.
The family reportedly felt her relationship with the neighbor had brought shame, and killed her just before she was set to give an official statement in court.
They took her to a field early in the morning and poisoned her.
Tried to make it look like suicide
After the murder, the mother and brother tried to make it look like suicide by leaving clues at the scene and fleeing.
But when local authorities noticed things did not add up, they dug deeper, tracing phone locations and call records from that night.
Both eventually confessed to their involvement.
