He also suggested an amnesty for past corruption cases, saying this would prevent endless discussions over past misdeeds.
"Raising the pay is equally important and we should declare an amnesty for past sins so we do not endlessly debate the past," he added in his post.

Vembu stressed that any punishment should only be imposed after a proper review and due process. However, he argued that due process shouldn't take decades to conclude. He cited Singapore as an example of efficient courts and suggested India could learn from their system.
