As the BJP-JD(U) alliance surpasses the majority mark in Bihar and looks set to form the government again, a bold poster lauding CM Nitish Kumar appeared outside his residence on Friday. Alongside the image of a tiger, it featured the message, “Tiger abhi zinda hai (The tiger is still alive)."

The NDA is on course for a historic sweep in the Bihar polls, echoing its landslide victory in the state in 2010. Back then, the JD(U)-BJP alliance secured a staggering 206 of the 243 seats in the state assembly, while the RJD was limited to just 22 seats.

As per the ECI trends at 12:15 pm, the BJP remains on top, leading in 86 constituencies, followed by its NDA ally JD(U) with 76 leads. The Mahagathbandhan's performance is proving to be a flop show, with the RJD dropping to 34 leads and the Congress ahead in just 6 seats. However, their alliance partner CPI(ML)(L) continues to maintain a lead in 7 constituencies.

As the NDA nears a big win in Bihar, BJP IT Cell head Amit Malviya has posed a question to the Congress. "Will Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra return to India to face the results? Or will they continue vacationing abroad while their party sinks further into disaster?" he tweeted.

Furthermore, referring to RaGa, Malviya added, "Another election, another defeat! If there were awards for electoral consistency, he’d sweep them all."

The NDA has comfortably crossed its 160-seat target and is now inching closer to the 200-seat mark, as shown by the latest trends. As of 11:30 am, the ruling coalition is leading on 190 seats, while the opposition Mahagathbandhan alliance has slipped below 50 seats, with just 49 leads.

In a major development, the latest trends show that RJD leader Tejashwi, who was initially leading in the party’s stronghold of Raghopur, is now trailing BJP's Satish Kumar. Meanwhile, Tej Pratap is also lagging behind LJP (Ram Vilas) leader Sanjay Kumar Singh in Mahua.

With the NDA poised to win the Bihar polls by a landslide, Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) leader and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi remarked, "This is not unexpected. We were saying from the beginning that the NDA would form the government with a thumping majority and Nitish Kumar will be the chief minister. We are heading toward that."

Seemingly referring to RJD leader Tejashwi, JD(U) leader Ashok Choudhary cautioned that politics in Bihar was heading toward a "dangerous combination of immaturity and raw desperation." He added that certain political leaders appeared focused on "constantly resetting" everything and implementing policies without proper foresight or clear ideological clarity.

According to the latest ECI trends, JD(U) is currently the single-largest party, leading on 75 seats, closely trailed by the BJP with 72 leads. The RJD, which initially posed a strong challenge to the NDA, has now dropped to a distant third, leading on just 41 seats. The LJPRV is in fourth place with 18 seats, followed by Congress with 7, and the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) (Liberation) at 5.

As of 10:15 am, BJP leader and Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha is trailing in Lakhisarai, although his party colleague and fellow Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary is leading in the Tarapur seat. Meanwhile, Tejashwi Yadav continues to lead in Raghopur, and his elder brother Tej Pratap is ahead in Mahua.

As Bihar awaits the final results of the assembly elections, preparations for celebrations are in full swing within the confident NDA. The BJP is gearing up to celebrate what it expects will be a landslide victory for the ruling coalition, with state executive committee member Krishna Singh Kallu ordering 500 kilograms of laddus, apart from plans for a grand feast in Patna.

As the vote counting continues, Union Minister Giriraj Singh declared that the BJP is making a comeback in Bihar, while asserting that West Bengal will be the next state where the party will form a government. "We'll win Bengal too; there's a government of anarchy there," he claimed.

The ruling coalition in Bihar looks on track to hit its ambitious "Ab ki baar, 160 paar" target, defying the anti-incumbency wave. According to early trends from India Today, the NDA has already surpassed the 160-seat mark.

Kishor's Jan Suraaj Party is leading on 3 seats, as per Pvalue Analytics. They include Tripurari Kumar Tiwari Alias Manish Kashyap from Chanpatia, Hemant Kumar Choubey from Chainpur, and Ritesh Ranjan from Kargahar.

The NDA is all set to clinch a landslide victory, suggest the early trends. As of 9:40 am, the NDA holds a lead on 158 seats, with the BJP emerging as the single largest party, ahead in 81 seats.

Though the BJP and the JD(U) have pulled ahead of the RJD, party spokesperson Mritunjay Tiwari asserted the Mahagathbandhan is leading in many constituencies. He said, "We have full hope and confidence that within one or two hours it will become clear that the Mahagathbandhan is forming the government in Bihar."

The NDA is now ahead in 150 seats, which is double the number of seats that the Mahagathbandhan has taken the lead in, i.e., 75, as of 9:30 am. As for the party-wise breakdown, the BJP is at the top with 78 leads, followed by the JD(U) at 64 and the RJD at 60; the Congress and the JSP are still struggling at 11 and three, respectively.

According to the ECI's preliminary trends, Chirag Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) is leading on three seats: Darauli, Bakhtiarpur, and Bodh Gaya. The party is a member of the NDA.

The NDA has crossed the halfway mark, taking the lead in 122 seats, as shown by very early trends. The Mahagathbandhan, on the other hand, is still far behind at 74 seats.

As of 9:10 am, the NDA is leading on 102 seats, while the Mahagathbandhan is ahead in 71 constituencies, reported India Today. The BJP is leading in 57, JD(U) in 43, RJD in 58, and Congress in seven. As for the others, the JSP and AIMIM are ahead in three and one seats, respectively.
