Apple iPhone 16 series goes on sale tomorrow: Check offers
Apple's latest iPhone 16 series will go on sale in India tomorrow, after being available for pre-orders for a week now. The new line-up includes four models: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. These devices will be available for purchase at Apple's official stores in Mumbai and Delhi, the company's online store, as well as other third-party retailers across India.
iPhone 16 series boasts improvements in design, performance, and camera
The iPhone 16 series is a worthy upgrade from its predecessors, particularly for those using an iPhone 14 or older. The new models offer improvements in design, performance, battery, and camera capabilities. The base model of the 16 series starts at ₹79,900 (for 128GB) while the Pro range has been launched at a starting price of ₹1,19,900 (for 128GB) — ₹15,000 less than last year's iPhone 15 Pro.

Buyers can avail trade-in and bank offers
On Apple's official website, you can avail trade-in offers ranging from ₹4,000 to ₹67,500 on eligible smartphones. On third-party sites like Croma, you can avail ₹5,000 bank offer on iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, and ₹4,000 discount on 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max models.
Aesthetics and display
The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus models are crafted from aerospace-grade aluminium with a new color-infused back glass. They come in five colors: ultramarine, teal, pink, white, and black. The standard model features a 6.1-inch screen while the Plus variant boasts a larger 6.7-inch display. The 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max are offered in available in Black, Natural, White, and Desert, all featuring a titanium frame. Interestingly, they offer slightly larger 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays, respectively.
iPhone 16 series features a new 'Camera Control' button
The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus sport a 48MP (OIS) main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. The iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max boast a 48MP (OIS) main, a 48MP ultra-wide, and 12MP (OIS, 5x) telephoto shooter. All four models have a new 'Camera Control' button on the right side, providing novel ways to capture images and gain insights on objects. In terms of videos, the non-Pros offer 4K@60fps, while the Pros can shoot in 4K@120fps.
Performance and AI upgrades
The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus introduce the A18 chipset, built on Apple's second-generation 3nm technology. This new chip promises up to 30% faster performance compared to the previous generation chip. The 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max models are powered by a more powereful A18 Pro chipset. The entire series supports Apple Intelligence, an AI-powered feature that can understand and generate languages, images, among other things. However, the AI-driven features are only expected to debut later this year.
