What's the story

Apple is gearing up to launch at least three new "Ultra" devices this year, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. The tech giant has been making strides in its product line-up with the introduction of Apple Watch SE, iPad 11, and MacBook Neo. However, Gurman notes that a major shift toward high-end "Ultra" devices is on the horizon.

Device details

Foldable iPhone and AirPods Ultra

The first device in the "Ultra" line-up is said to be a foldable iPhone, which will be priced around $2,000. The phone will have a large inner display and under-display sensors. Next up are the AirPods Ultra, which will be priced above the current AirPods Pro at the top of Apple's product line. These new AirPods will come with computer-vision cameras for Visual Intelligence data processing by Siri.

Laptop upgrade

MacBook Ultra will be the 3rd device

The third device in the "Ultra" line-up is said to be a MacBook Ultra. This new machine will come with a touch-enabled OLED display, which could raise its overall price by up to 20%. Gurman speculates that it will sit above the current M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pros, rather than replacing them. He also points out that Apple may not use the Ultra branding for all three of them.

Future of other product lines

Gurman also predicts that other product lines, including the iPad and Mac, could move into this "superpremium tier" in the future. He envisions these devices as a high-end iPad with a foldable OLED display and an upgraded iMac with a bigger screen.
