Apple sues ex-employee over trade secret theft
Apple is taking legal action against Di Liu, a former senior design engineer, accusing him of swiping thousands of confidential files about the Vision Pro headset.
According to the lawsuit filed in California, Liu allegedly downloaded a huge stash of Apple's secret documents to his personal cloud just before leaving the company.
Apple says Liu's actions could harm its business
Apple claims Liu pretended to quit for health reasons but was actually joining Snap, a rival AR company.
This move let him keep access, during which he supposedly handpicked and deleted files on his work laptop to cover his tracks.
Apple wants damages and the return of its documents, saying some info overlaps with Snap's AR Spectacles tech.
Snap has denied any involvement and says they found no evidence linking Liu's actions to their team.
The case is now being reviewed in California courts.
