ASUS launches a flagship ROG gaming laptop with dual-screen design
ASUS has launched a new ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 gaming laptop that packs some of the latest desktop-grade hardware in a futuristic dual-screen design we first saw on the company's ZenBook Pro Duo last year. According to the Taiwanese tech giant, this design will appeal to gamers and power users who prefer having multiple screens for streaming, chatting, game guides, and other such activities.
ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 15: Design and display
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 comes with a dual-screen, "active aerodynamic" cooling system, and a per-key RGB-backlit keyboard. It has a 15.6-inch non-touch primary display, and you can choose between 4K 60Hz and full-HD at 300Hz. The 14-inch secondary touch-enabled screen has a 3840x1100-pixels resolution and it can be raised at an angle for improved usability and visibility as well as better airflow.
The secondary screen gets a dedicated software for improved workflows
The secondary screen comes enabled for multi-screen window and app management, while also showing system controls for the CPU and GPU. Notably, ASUS is also working with developers to optimize features such as in-game chats, guides, and touch controls for the screen.
Under the hood
The flagship laptop is powered by a 10th-generation octa-core Intel Core i9/i7 processor, coupled with 16GB of RAM (expandable to 48GB), up to 2TB NVMe M.2 SSDs in RAID 0 configuration, and gaming-grade NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070/2080 Super discrete GPU. It also offers an ESS Sabre DAC for audio, stereo speakers, far-field microphones, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5, and a bundled 240W fast charger.
Pricing and availability
In Europe, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 starts at €3,999 (including tax) which is roughly Rs. 3.3 lakh. As for availability, it will go on sale in select markets starting next month.
