ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 is worth every penny

    What's the story

As the successor to its popular ZenFone Max Pro M1, ASUS recently launched the ZenFone Max Pro M2 in India.

Launched at a starting price of Rs. 12,999, the Pro M2 retains some of the best features of its predecessor while sporting a new trendier design and offering best-in-class features.

Here are top 6 reasons that make ZenFone Max Pro M2 worth every penny.

    Reason #1

    New design, more screen real-estate

While the ZenFone Pro M2 isn't the first phone to feature a notched display, the new edge-to-edge screen surely comes as a welcome change over the rectangular display.

The phone sports a taller 6.26-inch full-HD+ display with a resolution of 1080x2280 pixels and a 19:9 aspect ratio.

On the back, there's a 3D glass-like finish with a wave design which definitely makes it trendier.

    Information

Reason #2: Gorilla Glass 6 protection

Corning's Gorilla Glass 6 is "engineered to survive an average of 15 consecutive drops from 1 meter". And while we have seen this industry-best protection on OnePlus 6T and other high-end phones, its presence on the ZenFone Max Pro M2 makes in a first-in-class feature.

    Reason #3

    A powerful Snapdragon 660 processor

The ZenFone Max Pro M2 packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, which is a powerful chipset with a dedicated AI engine. In comparison, popular competitors like Nokia 6.1 Plus and Redmi Note 6 Pro come with Snapdragon 636.

Further, ASUS offers upto 6GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded upto a mammoth 2TB via a dedicated microSD card slot.

    Reason #4

Stock Android and a jumbo battery

These are some of the best features that we liked on the ZenFone Max Pro M1 and seeing ASUS carry them forward on the M2 is quite welcoming.

With stock Android Oreo, you get a smooth, clutter-free UI while the 5,000mAh battery lets you do more.

Additionally, the phone also supports 10W fast charging - another nifty feature.

    Reason #5

And, the camera setup is phenomenal

The Pro M2 packs a dual rear-camera setup featuring a 12MP Sony IMX486 sensor with a wide f/1.8 aperture and large 1.25-micron pixels. This is co-joined by a 5MP dedicated depth sensor and LED flash module.

Up front, the phone sports a 13MP selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12-micron pixels, and an LED flash module.

Clearly, no slouch whether you click sunsets or selfies.

    Information

ZenFone Max Pro M2: Other noteworthy highlights

In terms of connectivity, the phone offers dual-SIM support with dual-VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, and headphone jack among other options. Further, you get rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock feature and free 100GB free space on Google Drive for 1 year.

    Reason #6

    Pricing: The key factor

In India, the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 costs Rs. 12,999 for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage option, Rs. 14,999 for the 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant, and Rs. 16,999 for the 6GB RAM/64GB storage model.

Currently, at this price, there is no other phone that offers such top-of-the-line features.

Hence, it is no exaggeration to say that ZenFone Max Pro M2 is worth every penny.
