China unveils AI-powered flying lifebuoy during Hangzhou rescue drill
Technology
China just showed off an AI-powered flying lifebuoy that can reach drowning people faster than human rescuers.
Unveiled during a rescue drill in Hangzhou, this smart device takes off from shore, flies straight to someone in trouble, and delivers flotation support all on its own, helping cut down the wait time in emergencies.
Drones drop lifebuoys, unmanned boat deployed
The drill also featured drones dropping self-inflating lifebuoys and an unmanned rescue boat with a drone.
With these new tools, rescue teams hope to respond quicker and make water rescues safer for everyone involved.
