China's 1st atomic quantum computer is ready for commercial use

Technology

Big news from China: they've officially rolled out Hanyuan No. 1, their very first atomic quantum computer.
Developed by the Innovation Academy for Precision Measurement Science and Technology under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, in Wuhan, it has already sold units to China Mobile and Pakistan.
This isn't just a tech flex—it's part of China's push to be more self-reliant with next-gen computing.

Hanyuan No. 1 has already received $5 million in orders

Unlike older quantum computers that need freezing temps, Hanyuan No. 1 runs at room temperature and fits into just three standard racks—so it uses way less energy and is easier to maintain.
With 100 qubits powered by cold, neutral atoms, it's designed for heavy-duty tasks like financial modeling and logistics.
Orders have already topped $5 million, and selling one to Pakistan marks China's first big export of this kind of tech after nearly 20 years in the making.
