Deepinder Goyal's Lat Aerospace successfully flew Lat One v0.2
Deepinder Goyal, best known for Zomato, just scored a big win in aviation.
His startup Lat Aerospace successfully flew its new Lat One v0.2 aircraft, which can take off and land in super tight spaces thanks to blown wing technology.
This is a huge step up from its earlier version that crashed shortly after takeoff.
Lat One v0.2 matched computer models
Lat One v0.2 hit a solid cruise speed of 33 meters per second and handled tricky weather like a pro.
The test showed the blown-wing design really does help with short takeoffs and smooth landings, while closed-loop control systems kept the plane steady.
Even the quick-detach wings held strong under stress, plus real flight results matched what its computer models predicted.
Goyal says there's still more work ahead, but this is a big leap for his team's aerospace dreams.
