Gemini in Chrome can now handle your multi-step tasks
Google just dropped Auto Browse for Chrome, powered by its latest Gemini 3 AI.
If you're an AI Pro or Ultra subscriber in the US (using Windows, macOS, or Chromebook Plus), you can now let Chrome take over multi-step tasks like planning trips, booking appointments, filling out forms, comparing prices, checking whether bills are paid, and shopping—all from a handy side panel.
AI can help with tasks like trip planning and shopping
Gemini 3 isn't just about text—it can recognize images, hunt down similar products online, apply discounts it finds, and even stick to your budget while adding things to your cart.
It'll sign you in with Google Password Manager (if you say so) and works smoothly with Gmail, Calendar, YouTube, Google Maps, Google Shopping and Google Flights.
You get to approve important steps like purchases or jump in at any time if something looks off.
You're responsible for any mistakes or accidental buys
Auto Browse keeps track of what it does in the side panel and logs activity in Gemini Apps Activity and Chrome History.
Since this is still experimental tech, you're responsible for any mistakes or accidental buys—and there's a risk if you hit sketchy sites that try to trick the AI.
So keep an eye on things while letting Gemini help out!
