Google Vids rolls out free video generation and Chrome recorder

Google Vids has rolled out a fresh update that adds no-cost video clip generation and a Google Vids Screen Recorder extension in Chrome, thanks to new AI tools from Veo 3.1 and Lyria 3.
The upgrade also boosts video quality and brings smarter, more interactive AI avatars if you're on Google AI Pro or Ultra.

Now you can tweak your AI avatar's look, vibe, and even the scene they're in.
Lyria 3 adds another cool feature: it generates custom soundtracks for your clips based on whatever prompt you give it.
Plus, sharing is easier: upload straight to YouTube (private by default), but you can go public whenever you want.
