India's 1st private PSLV launch set for early 2026
India's gearing up for its very first privately built PSLV rocket launch in early 2026.
The mission, called PSLV-N1, will send the EOS-10 earth observation satellite into space. It was originally planned for early 2025 but got pushed back because the satellite wasn't ready.
This is all part of ISRO's move to let private companies like HAL and L&T take charge of building these rockets.
What's next for India's space game
PSLV-N1 is just the beginning—at least two more launches are anticipated for 2026, and the consortium could end up building even more if demand grows.
L&T's senior VP AT Ramchandani shared that working through early challenges with ISRO has been a big learning experience.
As things move forward, these private players might start landing their own clients and handling payload contracts themselves—a pretty big shift that could open doors for more private companies in India's space scene.
