NASA's Artemis II crew halfway to Moon on 3rd day
NASA's Artemis II crew is approximately halfway to the Moon on the third day of their 10-day trip around the moon, the first mission of its kind in over 50 years.
Launched on April 1, this journey is a big step toward putting humans back on the lunar surface in the coming years.
Astronauts Jeremy Hansen, Reid Wiseman, Christina Koch, and Victor Glover are all on board and reportedly in great spirits.
Crew tests, pay ranges, Earth photos
The crew has been busy with everything from testing how loud the toilet gets to practicing CPR in zero gravity.
Fun fact: US astronauts earn between $90,000 and $150,000 a year (no extra hazard pay for space!), while Canadian crew members make between $97,000 and $190,000 depending on experience.
Plus, Reid Wiseman has been snapping some stunning photos of Earth — including one showing glowing polar auroras over the Atlantic — giving us all a fresh look at our planet from space.
