What's the story

Expanding its portfolio of affordable smartphones, HMD Global has launched the Nokia 5.4 and 3.4 handsets in India. The phones will go on sale from February 17 and February 20, respectively. As for the key highlights, they come with a Snapdragon chipset, a punch-hole design, up to quad rear cameras, and a 4,000mAh battery. Here's our roundup.

The Nokia 5.4 and 3.4 feature a punch-hole cut-out and a thick bottom bezel with the 'NOKIA' lettering. On the rear, they house a circular camera module and a physical fingerprint sensor. The handsets bear a 6.39-inch HD+ (720x1560 pixels) IPS LCD screen with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. They will be offered in up to three color options.

The Nokia 3.4 sports a triple rear camera module, including a 13MP primary sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth camera. The Nokia 5.4 has a quad rear camera arrangement comprising a 48MP main sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP depth camera, and a 2MP macro shooter. On the front, they offer an 8MP and 16MP selfie snapper, respectively.

Under the hood

The Nokia 5.4 and 3.4 draw power from a Snapdragon 662 and Snapdragon 460 processor, respectively. They come loaded with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The duo boots Android 10 and packs a 4,000mAh battery with up to 10W fast-charging support. The devices also offer support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, a headphone jack, and a Type-C port.

How much do they cost?

The Nokia 5.4 costs Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB/64GB variant and Rs. 15,499 for the 6GB/64GB model. It will go on sale starting February 17 via Flipkart and Nokia India's e-store. The Nokia 3.4 costs Rs. 11,999 for the solo 4GB/64GB model and will be up for purchase from February 20 via Amazon, Flipkart, Nokia's e-store, and popular retail outlets.
