A recent search for "Sora 2" revealed nearly a dozen apps mimicking OpenAI's new offering, with one even using its logo in the icon.

The clone apps not only imitate the original Sora app but also employ aggressive monetization tactics. They offer in-app purchases and even expensive weekly subscriptions. This could easily mislead unsuspecting users into thinking they're downloading or subscribing to the official OpenAI product, especially since many may not be aware of its limited availability in North America.
