OPPO Ace 2 5G to be launched on April 13
A few days back, we reported that OPPO is working to launch the Reno Ace 2 in its home country and that its key specifications were revealed through a TENAA listing. Now, Brian Shen, OPPO's Vice President, has announced that the handset would be launched as the OPPO Ace 2 5G in China on April 13. Here are more details.
How will it look like?
Going by the leaked images, the OPPO Ace 2 5G will sport an edge-to-edge screen with a small display cut-out at the top left corner and an ultra-slim bottom bezel. Apart from that, the phone will sport a 6.5-inch AMOLED screen with a Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) resolution and an under-display fingerprint sensor for secure biometric authentication.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The Ace 2 5G will offer a quad rear camera setup comprising a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a couple of 2MP lenses for depth sensing and macro photography. Up front, the phone will house a 16MP selfie snapper. Moreover, the rear camera supports 4K video recording at up to 60fps, while the selfie snapper can record Full-HD videos at 30fps.
Under the hood
The OPPO Ace 2 5G will reportedly be powered by a flagship Snapdragon 865 chipset, coupled with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The handset is likely to offer dual battery with each unit having a capacity of 1,955mAh. It will support 65W wired and 40W wireless fast charging. The phone will run on Android 10-based Color OS 7.
And, how much will it cost?
Understandably, with its modern design, capable cameras, and flagship internals, the OPPO Ace 2 5G won't come cheap. It is likely to carry a significant premium over the OPPO Reno Ace, which starts at CNY 3,199 (approximately Rs. 32,000).
