Paytm introduces personalized UPI IDs for privacy

Paytm just rolled out a cool new feature: you can now create your own custom UPI ID, like yourname@ptyes or yourname@ptaxis. Built with Yes Bank and Axis Bank, this update hides your phone number during transactions, giving you more privacy and letting you keep things a bit more anonymous.

Paytm's move to boost user privacy

This move is part of Paytm's push to make digital payments safer and more private—something users have been asking for. As Paytm puts it, the change offers more choice and privacy in payments and helps build trust in their platform. On top of that, Paytm's UPI service is now available for Indian users traveling in places like the UAE, Singapore, France, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. Plus, new features like spending categories and QR payments aim to make managing money even smoother.
