PhonePe partners with Visa to launch 3 cardless payment methods
PhonePe just partnered with Visa to launch three new ways to pay without your card, making online, in-store, and international payments easier and safer.
Announced at Global Fintech Fest 2026, PhonePe is now the first Indian app to offer all these features together.
PhonePe starts Tap to Pay rollout
Android users will get Tap to Pay in phases starting September 9, 2026; just tokenize your Visa card and tap for contactless payments even if your signal's weak.
Traveling abroad? The Cross Border Scan to Pay feature lets you scan Visa-supported QR codes in 14 countries like Singapore and Japan and is expected to roll out to users soon.
For small merchants, Smart Accept means they can take card or wallet payments right on their phones; no extra machines needed.
