Realme 3 launched in India, price starts at Rs. 8,999
Expanding its portfolio of budget smartphones, Realme has launched the Realme 3 in India today. The handset features an HD+ waterdrop notched display, gradient design, dual rear cameras and mid-level internals including a MediaTek P70 chipset. It comes at a starting price of Rs. 8,999 and will go on sale in the country starting March 12. Here's everything to know.
Realme 3: At a glance
Up front, the Realme 3 sports a DewDrop (waterdrop notch) display with a sizeable bottom bezel. On the back, it has a 3D curved body, a dual camera setup, a fingerprint scanner, and gradient design. The phone features a 6.2-inch HD+ (720x1520 pixels) display with a 19:9 aspect ratio, 450-nits of brightness and Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
Realme 3 sports a dual rear camera setup comprising a 13MP (f/1.8) main sensor, paired with another 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. The main camera supports PDAF, Nightscape mode, Hybrid HDR, Chroma Boost, and Portrait Mode, among other features. Up front, the phone offers a 13MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper which supports AI Beautification, HDR, and AI Face Unlock.
Under the hood
Realme 3 is powered by MediaTek P70 processor, paired with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage (expandable upto 256GB). Under the hood, it packs a 4,230mAh battery and runs Android Pie-based ColorOS 6.0. Further, the phone comes with all the standard sensors and connectivity options including dual-SIM support, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB port, and a headphone jack.
Pricing, availability and launch offers
Realme 3 costs Rs. 8,999 for the 3GB/32GB variant and Rs. 10,999 for the 4GB/64GB model. It will go on sale via Flipkart and Realme website starting March 12 at 12pm. In terms of offers, buyers can avail a discount of Rs. 500 on HDFC Bank cards, Jio benefits worth Rs. 5,300 on Flipkart, and 20% MobiKwik SuperCash on Realme website.
Realme 3 Pro with 48MP rear camera coming in April
Alongside Realme 3, the company has also announced to launch the Realme 3 Pro in April. The phone will feature a Dot Notch display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection, 2.5D glass body, gradient design, and a plastic frame. It will also offer a 48MP rear camera, 13MP selfie camera, Snapdragon 675 chipset with Andreno 612 GPU, 4,000mAh battery and MIUI 10 software.
