    Redmi 8: At a glance

Going by the listing, the Redmi 8 will sport a regular waterdrop notched design with noticeable bezels around the screen. On the rear, the polycarbonate panel will house dual cameras and a physical fingerprint scanner. Furthermore, it is likely to come with a 6.21-inch LCD display with an HD+ (720x1520 pixels) resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers

In the imaging department, the Redmi 8 is tipped to house a dual rear camera setup comprising a 12MP (f/2.2) main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it is expected to sport a single 8MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper.

    Under the hood

As per the listing, the Redmi 8 will be powered by Snapdragon 439 processor, coupled with 3GB RAM and upto 64GB of expandable storage. The phone is likely to run Android Pie-based MIUI 9 and pack a 5,000mAh battery with 10W fast-charging support. Lastly, it should get all standard connectivity options including dual-SIMs (Nano), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Type-C port, and headphone jack.

    And, what about pricing?

There is no word about Redmi 8's India pricing as of now. However, going by the specs, we expect it to cost around Rs. 10,000. At this price point, it will take on the likes of Samsung Galaxy M20, Realme 5, and Vivo U10.
