  • As an upgrade to Redmi 7A, Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 8A in India just before the festive season.

    Starting at Rs. 6,499, the budget-friendly handset will be up for grabs starting September 29 via Flipkart and Mi.com.

    The phone comes with a waterdrop notched design, HD+ display, a solid 5,000mAh battery, and entry-level internals.

  • The Redmi 8A sports a regular waterdrop notched design with a sizeable bezels at the bottom. On the rear, the polycarbonate panel with scratch-resistant Aura Wave Grip design houses a single camera and LED flash.

    Further, the phone comes with a 6.22-inch LCD display with an HD+ (720x1520 pixels) resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

  • The Redmi 8A is powered by a Snapdragon 439 octa-core processor, paired with upto 3GB RAM, and 32GB storage.

    It runs Android Pie-based MIUI 10 and packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support (comes bundled with 10W charger in the box).

    Furthermore, the phone offers all latest connectivity options including dual-SIMs (Nano), Wi-Fi, VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

    Lastly, it goes up against rivals such as Realme C2 and the recently launched Infinix Hot 8.
