Samsung Galaxy A10s launched in India, starts at Rs. 9,500

As an upgrade to its Galaxy A10, Samsung has launched the Galaxy A10s smartphone in India. The handset will be up for grabs starting August 28 via all major online and offline retail channels in the country. In comparison to Galaxy A10, the all-new Galaxy A10s comes with a bigger 4,000mAh battery, dual rear cameras, and a higher resolution selfie snapper. Here's more.

Design
At a glance

The Galaxy A10s retains the Infinity-V design of the Galaxy A10 and sports a waterdrop notch look with a prominent bottom bezel. On the rear, the polycarbonate panel with matte finish houses dual cameras and a physical fingerprint reader. Further, it offers a 6.20-inch LCD display with HD+ (720x1520 pixels) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio.

Cameras
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers

The Galaxy A10s houses dual-lens rear camera setup comprising a 13MP (f/1.8) primary sensor and a 2MP (f/2.4) secondary sensor to capture depth details. The main camera offers photography features such as HDR, panorama, portrait mode, and can record 1080p videos at 30fps. The handset sports an 8MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper as against the 5MP front-facing shooter which we saw on Galaxy A10.

Internals
Under the hood

The Galaxy A10s is fueled by an unnamed octa-core processor, paired with 2GB/3GB RAM and 32GB of storage. Under the hood, the handset runs Android Pie-based One UI and packs a solid 4,000mAh battery. Lastly, it gets all standard sensors and connectivity options such as dual-SIMs (Nano), Wi-Fi 802.11b/gn, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Information
Finally, what is the pocket pinch

As far as pricing is concerned, the Samsung Galaxy A10s costs Rs. 9,499 for the entry-level 2GB/32GB model and Rs. 10,999 for the 3GB/32GB variant. At this price point, it goes up against rivals such as Realme 5, Redmi Note 7S, and Nokia 4.1.
