ShareChat's QuickTV rolls out pin-based parental controls
QuickTV, ShareChat's micro-drama platform, just launched PIN-based parental controls and better content ratings.
Now, anything rated above U/A 13+ stays locked until a parent enters a PIN—making it tougher for younger users to access mature content.
If you spot a rating that feels off, there's an easy way to report it through QuickTV's redressal system.
How the new content controls work
Shows are now sorted into four categories: U (Unrestricted), U/A 13+, U/A 16+, and A (Adult).
Parents can set up a PIN so kids only see what's right for their age group.
The whole system runs on built-in content ratings and platform-level restrictions.
Why this update matters
QuickTV says these changes bring them in line with global standards for short-form video platforms—and they're the first in India to do it for micro-dramas.
This move comes after growing concerns about age checks on similar apps, especially following a recent Economic Times report calling for better protections.
