The other half of one of the most recognizable brother duos to have played in international cricket, Andy Flower, is by far the most famous player to ever wear the Zimbabwean colors. One of the most prolific wicketkeeper batsmen, Flower began his international career against Sri Lanka in the 1992 World Cup. With a century against Sri Lanka, he became the first player to score a century on his World Cup debut. He began his international test career against India the same year. As captain of the Zimbabwe team, he led them to their first-ever test victory in a 1994-1995 home series against Pakistan. Within a career spanning over 10 years with the Zimbabwe national team, Flower also holds the record for most runs scored in a Test innings by a wicketkeeper. He retired in 2003 and was appointed the English cricket team's assistant coach in 2007, and later became its coach in 2009. Under his tutelage, the team won back-to-back Ashes, the 2010 ICC World Twenty20, and became the top-ranked Test-playing nation. Flower was inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame in 2021.
