    IPL: KXIP return to winnings ways after defeating GL

    Kings XI Punjab successfully defended 188 runs as their bowlers derailed Gujarat Lions' batting line-up to win the 2017 Indian Premier League match by 26 runs. For GL, Dinesh Karthik led the chase as he remained unbeaten at 57 runs. Axar Patel, Sandeep Sharma and KC Cariappa picked up two wickets each, with Patel picking up his 50th IPL wicket.

    Fresh from win, GL look to dominate KXIP

    After registering a thrilling win over KKR, Gujarat Lions host Kings XI Punjab, who have lost four back-to-back matches after winning first two matches. Both the teams have won two of their six matches in this IPL and have four points each. In their meets last year, both the teams have managed to win a game each.

    Amla's fifty helps KXIP score 188

    Hashim Amla went on to hit his third half-century in the IPL, as he led Kings XI Punjab's batting charge after being put to bat first. Amla scored 65 runs, he put a 70-run partnership with Shaun Marsh and a 47-run stand with skipper Glenn Maxwell. Axar Patel scored 34 off 17 balls in the end to finish it off for Punjab.

    Century of dismissals for Karthik

    Gujarat Lions' wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik completed his century of dismissals in the Indian Premier League. He is the first wicket keeper to reach the mark of 100 dismissals in IPL with 74 catches and 26 stumpings.
