Nuwan Pradeep is a professional cricket player from Sri Lanka who plays all three formats of the game. The right-batsman is well-known for his swing bowling. He was born on October 19, 1986, in Sri Lanka. Pradeep has played 28 Test matches and 47 ODIs in his cricket career. His Test debut came in October 2011 against Pakistan where he could not take any wicket. In July 2012, he made his ODI debut against India. He made his T20I debut in 2016, against England. He gained recognition with figures of 4-29 against England at Derby in 2011. Pradeep has also played for the Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club and for the Burgher Recreation Club. He has also been an active part of the Basnahira North Cricket team. Before his international debut, Pradeep was selected by Royal Challengers for IPL 2011. In 2019, he was a part of Kandy’s squad for the Super Provincial One Day Tournament. Pradeep was named in the Sri Lanka team’s squad for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021.
