These players can replace Paul Pogba at Manchester United
French mid-fielder Paul Pogba has long been speculated to make a move to Real Madrid from Manchester United. And, with strong reports emerging that he could be all set to leave Old Trafford for Santiago Bernabéu, United would be under pressure to find an adequate replacement for him. On the same note, we take a look at players who could be his potential replacement.
Let us make one thing perfectly clear that James Maddison might not be an ideal replacement for Pogba. However, considering his sound ability to create chances, along with his positional awareness and ability to create space for himself, he is the guy that United lack in their squad. Also, the Englishman could fit in United's 4-2-3-1 formation.
Napoli have been creating quite some top players of late. Meanwhile, Fabian Ruiz's name has also been doing rounds. Ever since his move to the club, he has become their regular starter, along with 29 goals from 62 matches, playing as a striker. Furthermore, having played in EPL before, for Fulham, he knows how to fit into the league as a mid-fielder.
The most realistic chance for Pogba's replacement could be in the form of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, as the Serbian has been Lazio's godfather in mid-field. His skills include traditional attacking movement and finishing ability. The Serb also has the height and physicality of a defensive mid-fielder. It is owing to this, he has earned himself the tag of Paul Pogba of Serbia.
