ISL 2018-19: Pune City vs Delhi Dynamos: Preview and prediction

    What's the story

Pune City will be hosting Delhi Dynamos tomorrow for their return Indian Super League fixture.

While Pune are seventh on the league table with 19 points from 16 matches, Delhi are eighth with 15 points from 16 matches.

Who will emerge the winners in the match tomorrow? Will Delhi be able to register their fourth win of the season?

    Here's our match preview.

    Pune

How are Pune looking ahead of the encounter?

Pune will be coming into the match with a six-game unbeaten streak which they would love to continue.

Former Hull City manager Phil Brown has joined their ranks during the winter break, and it is under him that they have witnessed a change in fortunes.

Under him, they have been playing great counterattacking football, but nothing will help them to a play-off spot anymore.

    Delhi Dynamos

Are Delhi ready for the challenge?

Delhi, after spending their first 11 matches in the competition without a single win, have found themselves improving in this later stage.

They are on a five-match unbeaten run as of now.

They even managed to defeat league leaders Bengaluru FC recently with a 3-2 scoreline.

Delhi should play for their honor and their fourth win of the season.

    Key players

Who will be the key players in the match tomorrow?

Marcelinho, Robin Singh and Iain Hume will surely be Pune's most important players as their performance will surely have a massive impact on the result of the match.

Hume is the highest scorer in ISL history and should give Pune an edge.

Ulises Davila will be a vital player for Delhi, as will be Daniel Lalhlimpuia who managed a brace against Bengaluru.

    TV listing

    Predicted lineup and TV listing

Pune City: Kamaljit, Panwar, Diaz, Golui, Ashique, Stankovic, Adil, Marcelinho, Carlos, Robin, Hume.

Delhi Dynamos: Dorronsoro, Das, Zuverloon, Crespi, Gharami, Tebar, Vinit, Chhangte, Sarangi, Nandhakumar, Davila.

The match is scheduled to kick-off at 7:30 PM, and will be broadcast on the Star Sports network.

It can also be live-streamed on Hotstar or Jio TV.

    Prediction

How can the match turn out tomorrow?

Both teams are quite equally matched, so it cannot be said that any particular team is the favorite.

Pune will want to win their match at any cost as they have a chance to finish fifth if they continue their stunning form.

They also have the home advantage, but defeating Delhi will be far from easy.

    We predict 2-1 to Pune.

    Fantasy XI

What should be the ideal Fantasy XI for the match?

Choose a 4-3-3 formation keeping Kamaljit as the goalkeeper.

Golui and Diaz can be the center-backs as Das and Gharami play as the left and right backs respectively.

Tebar, Chhangte, and Marcelinho can be the central midfielders for the match while Hume, Robin Singh, and Davila take up attacking duties.
