What's the story

India won the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy after beating New Zealand in the final in Dubai. The Men in Blue chased down 252 to claim their third Champions Trophy title. They had reached their third successive CT final. This win marked India's seventh ICC title, putting them only behind Australia. Have a look at the sides with most ICC titles.

#1

Australia: 10 titles

As mentioned, Australia occupy the top spot on this list with 10 ICC honors. They have won a mind-boggling six ODI World Cup titles (1987, 1999, 2003, 2007, 2015, and 2023). Besides, Australia have also won the Champions Trophy twice (2006 and 2009). They claimed the 2021 T20 World Cup title before winning the 2023 World Test Championship final.

#2

India: 7 titles

India follow Australia on this elite list. Their other Champions Trophy wins were in 2002 and 2013. They shared the title with Sri Lanka in 2002. Australia are the only other side to have won multiple Champions Trophy titles. Notably, India have also claimed two ODI World Cup (1983 and 2011) and as many T20 World Cup titles (2007 and 2024).

#3

West Indies: 5 titles

West Indies, who were once deemed the invincibles, are the only other side with five-plus ICC titles. They were the winners of the first two ODI World Cups (1975 and 1979), before India broke the trend (1983). The Windies have also won the T20 World Cup twice (2012 and 2016). Their tally includes a Champions Trophy title as well (2004).
