The Saudi-led coalition stopped two ballistic missiles fired by Yemen's Houthi group on Sunday, both aimed at Riyadh.
People in the city heard loud explosions before officials confirmed there was no longer a threat.
This latest attack adds to the growing tension in the region.
Houthi attacks on Saudi targets escalate
Since a U.N.-brokered truce fell apart in 2022, Houthi attacks on Saudi airports and oil sites have ramped up, especially after US and Israeli attacks on Iran in February.
Meanwhile, the Houthis say at least 33 people were killed by recent Saudi airstrikes near Sanaa.
