Like two kids fighting in schoolyard: Trump on Iran-Israel conflict
Former United States President Donald Trump has compared the Israel-Hamas conflict to "two kids fighting in the schoolyard." He added that incidents like Tuesday's rocket attack on Israel should never happen and said the US will play a significant role in the Middle East. "This has really been bad, but they have to finish that process. Sometimes you have to just let it go a little bit; we'll see what happens," the Republican presidential candidate said.
Trump criticizes Biden and Harris's handling of conflict
Iran fired nearly 200 missiles at Israel on Tuesday, hitting back for the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. Most of these missiles were intercepted and destroyed by Israel with help from the US military and other agencies. After the attack, Trump slammed current US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for their handling of the situation, calling it "very close to global catastrophe."
'We're obviously going to be very involved...': Trump
Trump added, "But it's a horrible, horrible war. And then you see what's happening even today. You know, where is that going to stop? You look at these forces. They shot down almost 200 rockets today." "But this is not the way anybody should have to live. So we're obviously going to be very involved in the Middle East. This would never have happened," he said.
'Talking about World War III...': What Trump said
"I've been talking about World War III for a long time, and I don't want to make predictions because the predictions always come true. We're not going to make [predictions]...but they are very close to global catastrophe," Trump further said. "We have a non-existent president and a non-existent vice president who should be in charge, but nobody knows what's going on," he added.
