2025 Porsche 911 Turbo S launches in India at ₹3.8cr
What's the story
Porsche has officially launched the updated 911 Turbo S (992.2) in India at a starting price of ₹3.8 crore (ex-showroom). The latest model of the iconic sports car was unveiled globally at the Munich Motor Show earlier this year. It promises electrifying performance, sharper design elements, and improved dynamics for Porsche's flagship supercar. Deliveries in India are expected to start in the second half of 2026.
Engine specs
The car is powered by a new flat-six T-Hybrid engine
The new Turbo S is powered by Porsche's new-generation 3.6-liter twin-turbo flat-six T-Hybrid engine. This heavily reworked unit, which is also used in the latest 911 Carrera GTS, comes with an additional turbocharger for enhanced output. It produces a whopping 711hp and 800Nm of torque, which is a massive 61hp increase over its predecessor. The power is transmitted to all four wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Speed capabilities
It can accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 2.5 seconds
The new 911 Turbo S can go from 0-100km/h in just 2.5 seconds, with the 200km/h mark coming up in just 8.4 seconds. The car has a top speed of an impressive 322km/h. It has also improved its Nurburgring lap time by an impressive 14 seconds over its predecessor, completing the circuit in an astonishing seven minutes and three seconds.
Chassis features
It features the latest Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) system
The Turbo S comes with Porsche's most advanced chassis setup yet, including the latest Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) system. It also features a new sports exhaust that's 6.8kg lighter due to its titanium construction. The car's braking duties are handled by the largest disks ever fitted to a two-door Porsche: 420mm carbon ceramic rotors at the front and 410mm at the rear for maximum stopping power and fade resistance.
Design details
Its cabin gets 'Turbonite' accents
The 992.2 Turbo S stands out with its wider stance, active front diffuser, new center-lock alloy wheels (20-inch front, 21-inch rear), and a unique ducktail spoiler. It also gets a special 'Turbonite' finish - a bronze-grey color exclusive to Turbo-badged Porsches - on exterior accents, badging, and wheels. The cabin continues the Turbonite theme with accents on the steering wheel, dashboard, door trims, seat belts, and even the chronograph.
