What's the story

As an entry-level variant of its premium 5 Series sedan, BMW has launched the 530i Sport trim in India. The new car joins the line-up that already includes 530i M Sport, 520d Luxury Line, and 530d Sport models. The updated sedan comes with a stylish design, feature-loaded cabin, and a BS6-compliant 2.0-liter petrol engine. Here's everything to know.

Similar to the other BMW 5 Series models, the new 530i Sport comes with an eye-catching design sporting the company's signature kidney grille and adaptive LED headlights with mounted DRLs. The car houses angular-looking alloy wheels, indicator-mounted ORVMs, and gets a chrome treatment around the windows. Moreover, the premium sedan has a wheelbase of 2,975mm and a boot space of 520 liters.

The car offers a luxurious and feature-loaded cabin

The five-seater 530i Sport offers a luxurious cabin with power-adjustable seats wrapped in leather, along with features like ambient lighting and dual-zone climate control. As for display and infotainment, the car houses a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with connectivity features. Apart from that, it provides six airbags, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree parking camera, and several driver-assist features.

Engine

Under the hood, it houses a BS6-ready engine

The BMW 530i Sport draws power from a BS6-compliant 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine that comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. The unit churns out 252hp of maximum power and 350Nm of peak torque. Moreover, the car offers five riding modes: Comfort, Eco Pro, Sport, Adaptive, and Sport+.
