Bayerische Motoren Werke (BMW) is a German automobile manufacturer which produces motorcycles and luxury cars. It was founded in 1916 as an aircraft engine manufacturer. In 1923, the company launched its first Motorcycle, the BMW R 32 and later became an automobile manufacturer in 1928 and unveiled its first BMW small car in 1929. Hopping to 2013, the company released its first all-electric series production model, the BMW i3. With its headquarters based in Munich, the BMW Group has around 31 production and assembly facilities in 15 countries. The four-wheeler models are marketed under BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce brands, while the motorcycles sell under the BMW Motorrad name.
