BYD unveils Altior flagship EV sedan in Abu Dhabi
BYD just dropped its electric flagship sedan, the Altior, at an event in Abu Dhabi.
Aimed at the high-end crowd, this sedan is packed with cool features like dual refrigerators, a massive 39-speaker sound system, and a cabin with yellow Hetian jade detailing and split silk-thread patterns.
The design takes inspiration from the ancient Chinese ding, a ceremonial bronze vessel associated with strength and dignity, while rotating welcome lights and a bold grille add extra flair.
Inside, you will find spacious zero-gravity seats that recline for full-on relaxation (yes, massage mode included).
Altior starts around $311,000
Starting at around $311,000 (2,080,000 yuan), the Altior is going head-to-head with brands like Rolls-Royce and Bentley.
It runs on four electric motors for some wild tricks (think tank turns and even emergency floating if things get rough) and BYD claims it can go over 999km on a single charge.
With this launch, BYD is making it clear: luxury EVs are officially a thing.
