    What's the story

Italian automaker Ducati is reportedly working on a Pikes Peak edition of the Multistrada V4 motorcycle.

The upcoming bike will be distinguished from the standard model by carbon fiber parts, improved hardware, and upgraded suspension setup.

However, it should retain the 1,158cc four-cylinder engine and 6-speed gearbox of the standard Multistrada V4.

    Here's our roundup.

    Design

Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak: At a glance

The Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak will have a sporty look, featuring a sloping fuel tank, a stepped-up seat, an upswept exhaust, a raised windscreen, carbon fiber body panels, and sporty graphics.

The bike will pack a digital instrument console, an all-LED setup for lighting, and should ride on forged aluminum wheels.

It should weigh around 215kg and offer a 22-liter fuel tank.

    Information

    Power and performance

The Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak should draw power from a 1,158cc, 90-degree V-layout, four-cylinder engine linked to a 6-speed gearbox. The mill should generate 170.3hp of maximum power at 10,000rpm and 125Nm of peak torque at 8,750rpm.

    Safety

    Safety and suspension setup

The Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak should be equipped with disc brakes on both the wheels along with Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), cornering ABS, and Ducati Traction Control (DTC) for improved handling on the roads.

The suspension duties on the motorcycle should be taken care of by Ohlins front forks and a TTX36 mono-shock unit with manual adjustment on the rear side.

    Information

    What about the pricing?

No details pertaining to the pricing and availability of the Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak are currently available. However, in India, it should carry some premium over the standard model, which is expected to debut here in March at around Rs. 20 lakh.
