Kia drops first look at new Seltos ahead of debut
What's the story
Kia India has teased the all-new Seltos, a major update of its popular mid-SUV. The first look comes ahead of the model's global debut on December 10. The teaser showcases a revamped design that marks a new chapter for the Seltos since its initial launch in 2019. Key visual elements include the new Digital Tiger Face grille, Star Map lighting at both ends, bold cladding, and flush-type door handles. The upcoming model now looks more powerful and noticeably higher-end.

Bold new exterior design and larger proportions
The new Seltos gets a sharper, more upright stance. The front fascia is redesigned with a wider grille, vertical LED DRLs with vertically stacked headlamps, and muscular bumpers. The full-width LED taillight bar, new alloy wheels, flush door handles, and blacked-out pillars give it a modern look. The bigger footprint (longer wheelbase, wider track) should improve cabin space, boot capacity, and rear-seat comfort.

Upgraded interior and more tech
Inside, the cabin will look sleeker and more premium, featuring higher-quality materials, a redesigned dashboard, and dual curved displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment. Additional features like a panoramic sunroof, connected car tech, better insulation, and improved seats are also expected. On the mechanical side, the existing 1.5-liter petrol, turbo-petrol, and diesel engines are expected to continue, while there are reports of a possible hybrid variant and upgraded transmissions, including a new 7-speed automatic for diesel models.
