Mercedes unveils retro-inspired limited-edition G-Class
Mercedes-Benz just dropped a special G-Class edition called STRONGER THAN THE 1980s, celebrating the original '80s models. Only 460 of these will be made, mixing retro vibes with modern upgrades for collectors and fans who love a bit of nostalgia.
Vintage vibes inside and out
This edition stands out in three throwback colors—MANUFAKTUR Agave Green, MANUFAKTUR Cream, and MANUFAKTUR Colorado Beige. Classic touches like the old-school Mercedes star on the hood, protective headlight cages, amber indicators, and five-spoke wheels give it serious vintage cred. Inside, you get dove gray fabric seats and a "Schockl Proved" badge—a nod to its legendary off-road roots.
Price and engine options
Starting at €160,055 in Europe and expected to top $180,000 in the US by late 2025, this G-Class isn't cheap. You can pick between diesel (G 450 d) or petrol (G 500) engines—both paired with a nine-speed automatic—so you get classic style without missing out on performance.
