MG Windsor EV hits 50,000-sales milestone in record time
What's the story
JSW-MG Motor India has announced that its electric vehicle (EV), the MG Windsor, has crossed the 50,000-unit sales milestone in the country. The achievement comes in just over 400 days since production started in October 2024. This makes the Windsor India's fastest four-wheeler EV to achieve such a feat. From November 2024 to October 2025, a total of 45,653 units were sold. The remaining over 4,300 units needed to reach the 50,000 mark were sold this month itself.
Sales performance
Windsor's monthly sales average and market reach
The MG Windsor has been averaging over 3,800 units per month over the past year. In recent months, it has even crossed the 4,000 mark. The demand for this EV model is not limited to metro cities but also extends to Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets. Commenting on Windsor's success, Anurag Mehrotra, MD of JSW MG Motor, said that their mission was "to offer a mobility solution that is practical, stylish, and value-driven—while accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles in India."
