Japanese automaker Honda has slashed the price of its flagship superbike, the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade, in India. Following the price cut, the two-wheeler has become cheaper by a whopping Rs. 10 lakh. As for the highlights, the bike has an aggressive design, offers several electronic riding aids, and is fueled by a 1,000cc engine that makes 214.5hp of power.

    Why does this story matter?

    • The Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade is a good-looking vehicle with impressive performance and it remains unchanged despite the massive price reduction.
    • Buyers who are willing to spend a pretty penny for exclusivity should be interested in getting their hands on this premium two-wheeler.
    • The motorbike is now priced competitively on our shores and rivals the likes of the Ducati Panigale V4 and the Aprilia RSV4.

The bike has 17-inch wheels and a windshield

The Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade sits on an aluminium composite twin-spar frame and has a muscular fuel tank, split-style seats, an upswept exhaust, and a raised windscreen. The bike packs a color TFT instrument cluster, an all-LED setup for lighting, and rides on blacked-out 17-inch wheels. It has a seat height of 830mm, a ground clearance of 115mm, and tips the scales at 201kg.

It is fueled by a 215hp, 1,000cc engine

The Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade draws power from a 1,000cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 16-valve, DOHC engine linked to a 6-speed gearbox. The mill generates a maximum power of 214.5hp and a peak torque of 113Nm.

There are disc brakes on both the ends

In terms of safety equipment, the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with throttle-by-wire, torque control, wheelie control, and dual-channel ABS for better handling on the roads. Suspension duties on the motorbike are taken care of by inverted telescopic front forks and a Pro-Link gas-charged shock absorber on the rear end.

Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade: Pricing and availability

In India, the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade superbike now carries a price-tag of Rs. 23.56 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle is reportedly out of stock at dealerships and bookings for the bike at the new price are likely to commence soon.
