Hero launches Splendor Plus and Passion Pro 100 Million Editions
To celebrate its 100 million production milestone, Hero MotoCorp has launched 100 Million Editions of its Splendor Plus and Passion Pro motorcycles in India. The bikes sport a dual-tone red and white paint job, which can be seen on the headlight cluster, fuel tank, and rear panel. However, in terms of specifications and features, they are identical to the standard models. Here's our roundup.
Hero Splendor Plus and Passion Pro 100 Million Editions have a minimalistic commuter look, featuring a sloping fuel tank, a flat-type seat, and a lengthy exhaust. The bikes pack an analog and a semi-digital instrument cluster, respectively, along with a halogen headlamp, a bulb taillight, and ride on blacked-out alloy wheels. While the former weighs 112kg, the Passion Pro tips the scales at 118kg.
The Hero Splendor Plus 100 Million Edition is powered by a BS6-compliant 97.3cc, single-cylinder air-cooled engine linked to a 4-speed gearbox and makes 8hp/8.05Nm. Meanwhile, the Passion Pro runs on a 113cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 9.1hp/9.89Nm mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
To ensure the rider's safety, the Hero Splendor Plus and Passion Pro 100 Million Editions are equipped with a disc/drum brake on the front wheel and a drum brake on the rear wheel, along with an integrated braking system. Suspension duties on the bikes are taken care of by telescopic forks on the front side and hydraulic/twin shock absorbers on the rear end.
In India, the Hero Splendor Plus 100 Million Edition carries a price tag of Rs. 67,095. Meanwhile, the drum and disc variants of the special edition Passion Pro have been priced at Rs. 69,200 and Rs. 71,400, respectively.
