After years of delays, Tesla just confirmed its next-generation Roadster will debut on October 1, 2026.
The announcement dropped on X with a simple "Go for launch" and a teaser image showing the date.
The big surprise? SpaceX-developed cold gas thrusters; yep, the car might actually get some flight-like features.
Tesla to reveal new Roadster design
Tesla scrapped the original 2017 Roadster look. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman (who reserved one for $50,000) voiced concerns.
A totally new design will be revealed next month. Elon Musk says production starts 12 to 18 months after the reveal, so you could see these wild rides on the road by late 2027 or early 2028.
