Triumph Rocket 3 R Black, 3 GT Triple Black unveiled

Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled its Rocket 3 R Black and Rocket 3 GT Triple Black models. The motorcycles are limited to 1,000 units each and come with an authenticity certificate. They sport a blacked-out finish, a carbon fiber front fender, and a Bluetooth-enabled instrument console. However, in terms of design and engine, they are same as the standard models. Here are more details.

The bikes sport an all-LED lighting setup

Triumph Rocket 3 R Black and 3 GT Triple Black have a blacked-out finish on the headlamp bezels, mirrors, wheels, radiator cowls, heat shield, as well as the engine. The former has black badging, while the latter sports contrasting silver badging. They also have stubby twin exhausts, a TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, and an all-LED setup for lighting.

    They run on a 167hp, 2,500cc engine

The Triumph Rocket 3 R Black and 3 GT Triple Black draw power from a 2,500cc, liquid-cooled, inline-three engine that generates 167hp of maximum power and 221Nm of peak torque. The mill is linked to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Disc brakes on both the wheels ensure safety

The Triumph Rocket 3 R Black and 3 GT Triple Black are equipped with disc brakes, cornering ABS, cornering traction control, cruise control, and hill-hold control. They also offer four riding modes: Road, Rain, Sport, and Rider. Suspension duties are taken care of by Showa's 47mm inverted front forks and a piggyback reservoir with adjustable preload on the rear end.

Triumph Rocket 3 Black editions: Pricing and availability

The Triumph Rocket 3 R Black and Rocket 3 GT Triple Black will make their way to international markets in the next few months and some units will arrive in India as well. Though their prices have not been announced, they should cost slightly more than the standard R and GT models, priced at Rs. 18.50 lakh and Rs. 18.90 lakh, respectively.
