Amazon India crosses $20 billion in global exports—early!

Business

Amazon India just beat its own target, reaching $20 billion in e-commerce exports before the 2025 deadline.
Thanks to the Amazon Global Selling program (launched in 2015), over 200,000 Indian sellers from more than 200 cities have shipped 750 million 'Made in India' products to buyers across big markets like the US, UK, and Germany.

What's selling—and who's winning?

Top exports include health and personal care, beauty products, toys, home apparel, and furniture—some key categories are growing at rates of up to 45% a year.
Sellers from smaller cities like Karur and Junagadh are joining in too, with increased support for compliance and better digital tools opening up global opportunities.

What's next for Amazon India?

Riding this momentum, Amazon is now aiming for a huge $80 billion export goal by 2030. This lines up with India's national export ambitions.
To get there, Amazon plans to double down on tech innovation, help sellers level up their skills, and build stronger partnerships for sustainable growth worldwide.
